These terms govern your use of Steady Bites ("we", "our", "the app"), a behavior-based food and habit tracking app. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

What Steady Bites is — and isn't

Steady Bites is a general wellness and habit-awareness tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified health professional. Nothing in the app — including insights, achievements, articles, or AI Guide responses — should be treated as medical, nutritional, or clinical guidance.

Talk to a doctor before making significant changes to how you eat, especially if you are pregnant, managing a medical condition, taking medication, or have a history of disordered eating.

Your account

You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity that happens under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use Steady Bites. Provide accurate information when you sign up, and let us know if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Access, or attempt to access, another user's account or data
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app or our services
  • Use automated systems to scrape, overload, or disrupt the service
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the app
  • Use the app for any unlawful purpose, or to harass or harm others

Steady Bites Pro subscriptions

Steady Bites Pro is an auto-renewing subscription offering unlimited history, unlimited AI Guide messages, an ad-free experience, and habit and weight trend charts. Monthly and annual subscriptions include the same features; current pricing is shown in the app before you purchase and varies by region.

  • Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Your subscription renews automatically until canceled. Cancel before renewal in the store you purchased from to stop the next payment.
  • Annual subscriptions are billed in one payment; monthly subscriptions are billed each month. Review the final price, renewal date, and any eligible offer in the store confirmation before you buy.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. We cannot cancel it on your behalf.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies, not by us. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
  • If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Purchases made through the Apple App Store are also governed by Apple's standard licensed application end user license agreement, available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. Where those terms conflict with these, Apple's terms control for App Store purchases.

Your data

Your logs are yours. We handle personal data as described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. You can export or delete your data on request by emailing contact@steadybites.com.

The AI Guide

The AI Guide generates responses automatically based on your logged data. Its output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your circumstances, and it is offered for reflection only. Use your own judgment, and don't rely on it for decisions that need professional advice.

Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We may update these terms; when we do, we'll change the effective date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. If a change materially reduces what a paid subscription provides, you may cancel through your app store.

Termination

You may stop using Steady Bites at any time and request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Any subscription you've already been charged for remains subject to your app store's refund policy.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that insights it produces will be accurate.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
